ZCGC Strengthens Supply Chain & Logistics Team with Key Additions

ZCG Consulting, LLC (“ZCGC”), the business consulting platform of Z Capital Group (“ZCG”) and a results-oriented management consulting firm, today announced several new hires to expand its Global Supply Chain & Logistics team. These additions enhance ZCGC’s ability to deliver hands-on, data-driven solutions to partners and portfolio companies managing increasing global supply chain complexity.

The following individuals have joined ZCGC:

  • Joe Poehnelt has been engaged by ZCGC as Senior Consultant, Global Supply Chain & Logistics, overseeing supply chain strategy across ZCGC’s diverse portfolio. Prior to ZCGC, he was Chief Commercial Officer at Steam Logistics, a third-party logistics provider, where he led the commercial strategy that drove rapid growth. He also served as the sales and operations owner for the company’s drayage provider, which under his leadership grew into the second largest in the United States. Before Steam, Mr. Poehnelt was a Director at UPS Supply Chain Solutions, developing international supply chain strategies and multi-modal transportation solutions. Mr. Pohnelt holds a B.B.A. in business management and economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is also a licensed U.S. Customs Broker.
  • Kevin Craig has been engaged by ZCGC as Consultant, Global Supply Chain & Logistics, overseeing supply chain strategy across ZCGC’s diverse portfolio. Prior to joining ZCGC, Mr. Craig worked in supply chain operations in various director-level roles leading initiatives focused on streamlining distribution networks, enhancing automation, and improving end-to-end logistics. He brings expertise in developing scalable solutions that enhance supply chain visibility, reduce costs, and increase operational resilience. Mr. Craig began his career as a civil engineer in the private sector before transitioning into supply chain management. Mr. Craig holds a B.S. in civil engineering and an MBA from the University of Florida.
  • Tianyang (Tyler) Xu has been engaged by ZCGC as Senior Consultant, Global Supply Chain & Logistics. Mr. Xu is responsible for portfolio company financial reporting, due diligence and also supports M&A, data analytics, and strategic finance transformation initiatives. Prior to ZCGC, Mr. Xu was a Senior Vice President at AlixPartners, specializing in liquidity management, business plan development, and operational finance across multiple industries. He was also an Associate within the Financial Markets Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he prepared analysis and modelling to assess portfolio company valuations across sectors. Mr. Xu holds both a B.S. in finance and accounting and an M.S. in accounting and information analysis from Lehigh University.
