Veeder-Root, a worldwide leader in fuel management and environmental systems technology, announced today the launch of the Red Jacket® IQ2 Smart Controller, an innovative solution designed to empower operators with improved control over their network of Submersible Turbine Pumps (STPs).
Through continuous monitoring of pump and motor parameters, the IQ2 optimizes fuel flow rates and STP operation. It is designed and manufactured to the same best-in-class quality standards as the rest of the Red Jacket product line.
The Red Jacket IQ2 Smart Controller allows operators to adjust pump performance dynamically. This ensures that fuel delivery aligns with varying daily demands, ultimately leading to improved customer satisfaction and reduced operational costs.
Key features of the Red Jacket IQ2 Smart Controller include:
- Real-Time Pump Status: Optimizes pump capacity based on actual demand, ensuring that operators can maximize site uptime and enhance fuel flow efficiency for their customers. The IQ2 controls all The Red Jacket and Maxxum® liquid fuel STP motor sizes. HP Ratings: 3/4, 1.5, 2, 4, 5. Supported Phases: Single, Three.
- Advanced Diagnostics: Provides comprehensive diagnostics to help identify issues before they become critical, promoting reliability, longevity of the equipment, and reducing labor costs for servicing the controller.
- User-Friendly Interface: The front panel access and full-text 2-line display screen enables technicians to more efficiently and safely install and service the IQ2. Up to 31 IQ2 Smart Controllers can be connected on a single network. It also making it easier for operators to manage their systems.

Connecting the IQ2 Smart Controller and the TLS-450PLUS Automatic Tank Gauge (ATG) enables enhanced monitoring capabilities of Red Jacket STPs (manifold tanks, controller diagnostic status, historic event logs and statistics) via the Intelligent Pump Control (IPC) software. With the remote access features of the TLS-450PLUS ATG, operators will also be able to access that data from anywhere in the world.
