Växa Partnerslaunched today as an independent strategic and M&A advisory firm focused on providing solutions for private market investment firms world-wide.
Växa Partnersis purpose-built to advisea broad array of alternative asset managers and the large global financial institutions that are increasingly investing in and acquiring them. The firm’s primary focus on M&A advisory is complemented by strategic consulting services ranging from capital raising strategies, new product viability and launches, to transaction-oriented advice, including succession planning, strategic alternatives, M&A preparation, and holistic firm-wide assessments. Sector focused buy-side and sell-side M&A support includes GP stake sales and non-dilutive financing solutions, fund finance and valuations.
Växa, which means “to grow” in Old Norse, the language of the Vikings, honors Mr. Gooden’s mom’s Swedish heritage and serves as a motif tying together the growth interests of clients, counterparties and the firm itself, which will strive to build a culture fostering its team’s professional and personal growth.

Mr. Gooden is a pioneering private markets M&A advisor who has worked on a substantial market share of industry deals spanning private equity firms, credit managers, real estate and infrastructure firms along with the insurance companies, institutional investors and large foreign institutions seeking to invest and acquire these firms. He built and led an advisory practice that over the past 15 years helped to profoundly shape the industry. During his career, Ted has advised on successful outcomes for more than 50 credit managers, two dozen real estate managers, 25 GP stake financings and prominent strategic minority transactions with insurance companies, and a variety of related private market firms.
Mr. Gooden is launching Växa Partners with an execution team of 10 colleagues. The firm intends to scale further with additional industry professionals, each of whom Mr. Gooden has wanted to work with for years, that bring significant experience and expertise advising private and liquid alternative managers on essential strategic business objectives.
