Creator of Compliance as a Service (CaaS) expands its presence in the Upper Midwest

U.S. Compliance (USC), a national provider of environmental, health and safety (EHS) services, announced today that it has acquired OSHA/Environmental Compliance Systems (OECS), a regional leader in EHS consulting headquartered in St. Louis Park, MN with a strong presence in the Upper Midwest. The acquisition of OECS further solidifies USC’s industry-leading position in the EHS services market and charts further expansion into the region.

USC employs a unique Compliance-as-a-Service (CaaS) model which is a transformational approach to EHS compliance that combines expert consulting, cloud-based software, and on-demand support to help clients achieve and sustain EHS compliance, reduce risk, and improve overall company performance. USC’s CaaS model is designed to be flexible, scalable, and cost-effective, allowing clients to focus on growing their business.

“We are excited to continue strategically expanding our presence in the Upper Midwest by partnering with OECS,” said Jim Ginther, CEO, U.S. Compliance. “OECS has a distinguished commitment to strong client relationships and innovative solutions, which perfectly aligns with USC’s core values, and we look forward to this next phase of operational expansion and innovation.”

Founded in 1993, OECS provides OSHA and environmental compliance services to companies that may not have the resources to hire a full-time workplace safety professional or are seeking additional resources to fulfill safety requirements. OECS offers comprehensive safety services for manufacturing and construction businesses through a team of experienced safety consultants.

“This partnership represents a significant milestone in our company’s mission to create safer, more compliant workplaces. Together with U.S. Compliance, we are uniquely positioned to expand our reach and elevate our environmental, health and safety services that support strong safety cultures for our customers to ensure all employees go home safe,” said Chris Naylor, CEO, OECS.

“Joining forces with U.S. Compliance allows us to leverage a national platform with expertise in additional service areas to better serve our clients. We’re very pleased that OECS has become a part of the U.S. Compliance growth story,” added Tim Sheehan, President, OECS.

USC is a platform company backed by Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE), an entrepreneur-centric growth equity firm. OECS marks USC’s latest acquisition, following closely behind Hellman & Associates.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Troutman Pepper served as legal counsel to U.S. Compliance and Hennepin Partners advised on the transaction.
