The Bahnsen Group Announces New Leadership Positions and Key Hires

Fast growing wealth management firm prepares for next phase with restructured leadership and new personnel

The Bahnsen Group, a national wealth management firm with over $7.5 billion in assets under management, today announced new leadership positions and key hires in response to its robust growth and commitment to delivering an extraordinary client experience.

Joseph Klein is promoted to President where he will work directly with Managing Partner and Founder David Bahnsen to set and implement company strategy. Joe will oversee the firm’s Management Committee, which consists of eight department directors. He previously served as the firm’s Family Office Director.

Luis Garcia is promoted to Chief Financial Officer. He will direct the company’s business administration department overseeing finance, facilities, and human capital. Luis’s promotion comes after a year of directing the firm’s operations. He previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Pacifica Christian High School of Orange County.

“Luis and Joe are respected leaders in our organization who I trust to advance our mission, carry our culture, and relentlessly compete as we pursue our organizational goals,” said David Bahnsen, Managing Partner and Founder, The Bahnsen Group. “We have never shied away from investing the resources into our business that are needed to continue serving clients at the very high standards we set for ourselves. In the last three years alone, we have organically added over $3 billion of new assets under management, and created a robust full-service tax department, risk department, and family office.”

The Bahnsen Group is also pleased to welcome new members to its growing advisory team:

Nicolas Stanley joins the firm as Family Officer Director. He previously worked as a Vice President for Financial Planning at Morgan Stanley and in various planning and consulting roles at Merrill Lynch in New York City and UBS in Beverly Hills. The Bahnsen Group’s multi-family office offering for ultra high net worth individuals and families now represents 20% of the firm’s revenue and assets under management.

Anastasia Wiese joins the firm’s Grand Rapids, MI office as a Senior Financial Advisor. She previously worked at Grand Wealth Management. A lawyer by training, Anastasia brings a unique expertise and experience in the high net worth space and will drive growth as The Bahnsen Group plants its flag in western Michigan.

“Nicolas is an ambitious talent who will care for our Family Office department well and continue to expand its capabilities. Anastasia is exactly the kind of advisor we want to have driving new market expansion and growth,” Bahnsen added. “We grow only to the extent we hire, manage, and develop our people well, and I am very proud of the team we have built at The Bahnsen Group. There is no way I can explain how unique our ethos is when it comes to competing, growing, and serving our clients. It is a way of life at our company that we are never going to abandon.”

The firm’s 85 team members includes 22 Private Wealth Advisors and a wide array of Planning, Investment, Risk, Tax, Content and Operations personnel. Besides Bahnsen, Klein, and Garcia, the six-person Leadership Team includes Brian Szytel, who leads the firm’s Palm Beach, FL office, Joleen Bahnsen, who directs the Team & Client Experience Department, and Trevor Cummings, who oversees the Private Wealth Advisor Group. The company is wholly owned by its eight partners.
