The new application process, Easy Apply, comes after the two companies announced their partnership earlier this year to help revolutionize financial aid application processing
TaxStatus, a secure, personalized data solution for verified financials used by financial professionals and their clients, and VenturEd Solutions, a leading solution provider exclusively dedicated to powering the success of K-12 schools, students, and families, today announced the launch of Easy Apply. Easy Apply is a new pathway that allows families to provide consent to directly access their IRS data and documents and skip all redundant tax-related questions on financial aid applications.
Families who opt to go through Easy Apply will be able to skip tax-related questions and pull data straight from the IRS, through the partnership with TaxStatus. The integration is reducing application time in School and Student Services (SSS,) VenturEd’s premier financial aid software by more than 50%.
“Easy Apply represents a major step forward in how verified tax data can be used to simplify the financial aid application process for private K-12 schools,” said Kevin Knull, CEO of TaxStatus. “Together with VenturEd, we’re turning what used to be a barrier for many families into a seamless, secure experience.”

Since its rollout on September 2, over 3,500 families have gone through the Easy Apply process in SSS so far.
“When families opt in to TaxStatus integrated into SSS, I no longer spend time tracking down tax documents. The IRS-approved verification is a true game-changer – giving us accurate, multi-year financial data and allowing families to complete their applications faster,” said Amy deBorst, Director of Financial Aid at Greenhill School.
Additionally, VenturEd Solutions and TaxStatus have launched their new K-12 tuition assistance estimator, the AffordAbility Calculator, which is able to demonstrate a family’s eligibility for K-12 tuition assistance based on their income level and historical eligibility of similar families with just a few clicks.
In January 2025, VenturEd Solutions and TaxStatus announced their official partnership to enhance VenturEd’s financial aid product, School and Student Services (SSS). SSS streamlines financial aid applications by securely retrieving family and business tax records. This partnership eliminated the need for manual completion of IRS forms and document uploads, ensuring faster, more accurate, and secure processing.
