Sungrow Launches Next-Gen Microinverter S2500S-L for the Brazilian Market

Sungrow

Sungrow, the global leading PV inverter and energy storage system provider, launched its next-generation microinverter S2500S-L to the Brazilian market at Intersolar South America 2025, held from August 26-28 in São Paulo. Designed for superior reliability, efficiency, and ease of use, the S2500S-L is poised to accelerate Brazil’s clean energy transition.

  • One-click configuration: commissioning is simplified by synchronizing multiple microinverters via the iSolarCloud app, reducing field time and minimizing rework.
  • Operating at 45°C without power derating and maintaining reliable output up to 80°C.
  • Transmission power is increased by 10%, enabling a stronger and longer signal reach.
  • Providing 24-hour data retransmission: generation data is securely stored and automatically updated once the network is restored, ensuring users always see complete and accurate performance records.

The Best Fast-Track Option in the Brazilian Market

The S2500S-L delivers a power output of 2.5 kW per unit. By connecting three units, it is possible to reach 7.5 kW – a limit that falls within the fast track procedure (Brazil’s Normative Resolution No. 1,000/2021), ensuring simplified technical approval by power distributors. Featuring an innovative topology design, it achieves a power density of 455 W/kg, ensuring lightweight and high efficiency. It supports four independent MPPT inputs with DC input currents up to 18 A, ensuring seamless compatibility with a wide range of solar modules.

Engineered for Extreme Heat

Many regions in Brazil, particularly in the North, Northeast, and Central-West, experience high year-round temperatures. Microinverters are often installed in tight spaces between solar panels and rooftops, where summer heat can cause conventional devices to reduce output or shut down. The S2500S-L is built to perform well in these conditions, operating at 45°C without power derating and maintaining reliable output up to 80°C.

The design improves heat dissipation efficiency by 10–15% compared to conventional solutions, ensuring consistent output in extreme climates.

Faster, Simpler Installation

For installers, convenience is a priority. The S2500S-L’s one-click configuration feature allows settings applied to one device to be automatically synced across all devices on the same network, reducing setup time by over 66%.

Additionally, leveraging Sungrow’s iSolarCloud intelligent energy management platform, users can view real-time power generation and health status for each microinverter. The platform also supports remote diagnostics and fault resolution, minimizing downtime and maintenance costs.

Strong Communication for Every Watt

The S2500S-L delivers strong communication competitiveness, delivering signal quality 5–10 dB above industry averages. Transmission power is increased by 10%, enabling a stronger and longer signal reach. With a high receiver sensitivity of -93 dBm, even weak signals are easily detected, maintaining stable communication even through two walls.
