Dual honors spotlight leadership, innovation, and industry impact

StratEdge Corporation is proud to announce that President Tim Going has been awarded the prestigious IMAPS Founders Award, recognizing his technical and leadership excellence in the microelectronics packaging industry. The honor was presented at the 2025 International Microelectronics Assembly and Packaging Society (IMAPS) Symposium.

The Founders Award celebrates individuals who have built enduring companies with long-term success and meaningful industry impact. Since taking control of StratEdge in 2004 through a management buyout, Tim has guided the company through expansion, innovation, and resilience—including rebuilding after a 2017 plating room fire and moving to its current Santee, California headquarters.

“Tim has put his heart and soul into StratEdge,” said Casey Krawiec, VP of Global Sales at StratEdge. “He’s led with vision through challenges and transformation—constantly pushing the company to innovate and grow.”

Krawiec himself was also honored at the event, receiving the IMAPS Leadership Award for his service to the San Diego Chapter and commitment to workforce development and student outreach. His leadership and enthusiasm have strengthened the local IMAPS community and inspired the next generation of engineers.

Before leading StratEdge, Tim began his career at GE Corporate R&D developing plastics for electronics applications, later playing key roles in five startup ventures. Today, he continues to drive StratEdge’s advancement in high-performance semiconductor packaging for RF, microwave, millimeter-wave, and high-power devices with new initiatives in additive manufacturing and high-speed automated assembly.

StratEdge also received the IMAPS Corporate Recognition Award in 2024 for its contributions to the industry. Under Tim’s leadership, StratEdge has maintained more than two decades of active IMAPS Corporate Membership, presenting technical papers, hosting local events, and supporting IMAPS Foundation initiatives.
