This ongoing partnership ensures Linewize’s industry-leading suite of online student safety and wellbeing services remains available across Texas schools with assured pricing, service and support
Linewize, the North American division of global safety and student wellbeing leader Qoria, announced a multi-year extension of its strategic partnership with Texas’ Technology Alliance for Statewide Initiatives (TASI). First established in 2023, the partnership between Linewize and TASI supported the rollout of Linewize’s services to Texas Education Service Centers (ESCs) and K-12 districts statewide. Now, this agreement extends Linewize and TASI’s original partnership, solidifying Linewize as a preferred safety technology provider for Texas schools (one of only two selected), and ensuring Linewize’s offerings remain available with assured pricing, service and support.
“We are proud to extend our partnership with TASI,” said Adam Lee, Vice President of Sales, Texas, at Linewize. “The impact we are making on students, staff and parents is fantastic to see, and we look forward to continuing to support more Texas school districts over the years to come.”
TASI is a collaboration between all 20 of the Texas Education Regions and the Texas Education Agency. When new technology initiatives or products are considered for K-12 implementation, TASI assists school leadership in ensuring decisions align with the statewide vision.
“TASI works to provide quality services to protect our students and those that support them,” said Robin Prouse, Coordinator, Products & Services at TASI. “This partnership enables schools across the state to have access to these effective products at more affordable prices. Linewize is committed to our Texas students and that is our primary focus.”
Since TASI first partnered with Linewize in August 2023, Linewize has significantly expanded its reach and impact across Texas, seeing a 99% increase in protected students. With a population of 5.84 million students, Texas continues to represent an enormous opportunity for Linewize to help more children and teenagers thrive in their digital lives.
Additionally, this news comes at a time when Texas is advancing a strong regulatory agenda in the interest of parental involvement and student safety. Notably, the Texas Legislature recently passed HB 18, which went into effect in September 2024 and requires schools to:
- Ensure that parents are provided the necessary resources to understand cybersecurity risks and online safety.
- Specify periods of time during which an electronic device transferred to a student must be deactivated.
- Consider necessary adjustments by age level to the use of electronic devices in the classroom.
- Consider appropriate restrictions on student access to social media websites or applications.
- Consider the required use of an Internet filter capable of notifying appropriate school administrators if a student accesses inappropriate or concerning content or words.
Linewize is uniquely positioned to help Texas schools address these regulatory requirements and meet the evolving needs of school leaders and staff across the state.
