On September 23, students from Tennessee’s LaVergne High School will take on the national retailer’s nine month build
On Tuesday, September 23rd, Northern Tool + Equipment will unveil the Legends Build: Student Challenge, tasking LaVergne High School’s Career & Technical Education (CTE) students with an epic nine-month project.
This announcement kicks off their third build. Previous builds include the Monster Jam® Mini Build and Rat Rod Kart Build Off.
Since learning of the mystery build, the students and instructors have guessed what the build entails.
“We’re sure it’s some type of kart,” said one LaVergne student ahead of the announcement. “We’ve already started planning on it!”
“We have quite the task planned, but the students’ guesses are way off base,” said Wade Kotula, CEO of Northern Tool + Equipment, after hearing the students’ guesses. “What I do know is, this project will get their hands dirty and inspire the same passion for the trades we see every day in our stores.”
