EyeCare Partners (ECP), the nation’s leading provider of clinically integrated eye care, proudly announces that Nationwide Vision is celebrating its 40th anniversary of delivering high-quality eye care to Arizona communities.
Founded in 1985 in Chandler by optometrists Dr. Neal Weinstein and Dr. Mark Hechtman, Nationwide Vision has grown from a single location to one of Arizona’s largest vision care providers, now serving tens of thousands of patients each year, across more than 70 locations statewide.
For four decades, Nationwide Vision has earned a reputation for accessible, value-driven care while expanding services to include managed vision plans, medical eye care and a wide range of eyewear.
“What started as one local practice with a bold vision has become an integral part of the health and well-being of thousands of Arizona families,” said Dr. Jarrod Cross, optometrist and President of Nationwide Optometry, P.C. “We’re proud to celebrate 40 years of providing trusted eye care, and we remain just as committed to serving our communities as we were in 1985.”
Throughout its history, Nationwide Vision has also prioritized giving back by donating free exams and eyewear to underserved children, supporting local food and toy drives, and partnering with schools and nonprofits to improve community health outcomes.
In 2019, the practice joined the EyeCare Partners network in a partnership that has expanded resources and enhanced patient care while preserving Nationwide Vision’s unique Arizona identity.

Activities to mark this milestone include:
- An Anniversary Celebration at all Nationwide Vision locations Sept. 5 to include treats, giveaways, children’s activities and special discounts/promotions on eye wear.
- Sharing daily stories from longtime patients and team members from now until Sept. 5 on Nationwide Vision and EyeCare Partners social media channels.
