Moses Singer LLP is pleased to announce that Jessica Caterina has joined the firm as a partner in its Litigation practice. Caterina brings more than a decade of experience handling high-stakes commercial disputes for corporations, financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals nationwide.
Caterina’s experience covers litigation in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and internal investigations across industries from financial services to media, energy, and technology. She has first-chaired multiple arbitrations to complete victory, including a AAA arbitration in which all claims against her investment advisory client were dismissed. In court, she has served as trial counsel in multimillion-dollar fraud and breach of contract actions, including securing a favorable jury verdict in New York’s Commercial Division and obtaining dismissal of fraud claims against a high-profile executive. She has previously been recognized in Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch” for Commercial Litigation.
“Jessica has proven her rare ability to successfully navigate complex commercial disputes as well as sensitive internal investigations,” said Dean Swagert, managing partner of Moses Singer. “Her strong courtroom instincts and record of delivering results in high-value disputes make her a valuable addition to our growing litigation practice.”
Caterina joins Moses Singer from Schlam Stone & Dolan LLP, where she was a partner. Earlier in her career, she spent more than eight years at Arnold & Porter LLP representing major pharmaceutical and healthcare companies in product liability, False Claims Act, and other high-exposure matters. She also clerked for the Honorable Theodore A. McKee, then-Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
“Jessica is a trial-ready litigator who knows how to manage complex disputes,” said Isaac Greaney, chair of Moses Singer’s Litigation practice. “Her experience as a first-chair courtroom lawyer strengthens our ability to take cases all the way to verdict when necessary.”
Caterina earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law, where she was an Order of the Coif member and recipient of the Burton Award for Distinguished Legal Writing. She received her B.A. from Bennington College. Before starting her legal career, Caterina worked as a professional recording artist based in Los Angeles.
