Machina Labs Achieves CMMC Level 2 Certification

Certification signals readiness to securely support sensitive design data across U.S. Department of War and defense programs

Machina Labs, a leader in advanced manufacturing and robotics, today announced it has received Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 following an assessment from CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO). The CMMC Level 2 certification further strengthens Machina Labs’ ability to support mission-critical defense programs while contributing to a more resilient and secure domestic manufacturing base.

CMMC was established by the U.S. Department of Defense to strengthen cybersecurity across the Defense Industrial Base and ensure contractors meet rigorous standards for protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Achieving CMMC Level 2 confirms Machina Labs’ commitment to safeguarding and protecting CUI in its participation in defense and aerospace manufacturing programs.

“Achieving CMMC Level 2 is an important validation for Machina Labs and a clear signal to our defense partners that we are built to securely support their most demanding programs,” said Edward Mehr, CEO and co-founder of Machina Labs. “This certification reflects our ability to operate secure, production-ready manufacturing infrastructure that meets U.S. Department of War requirements and enables us to support prime defense contractors at scale.”

Machina Labs’ intelligent factories, powered by its RoboCraftsman platform, eliminate traditional tooling while enabling secure, software-defined manufacturing of complex metal structures, which is an increasingly critical requirement for modern aerospace and defense programs.
