Joyce Univ. Names Patrick Rombalski, Ed.D., as COO

Joyce University of Nursing and Health Sciences, an accredited institution dedicated to preparing the next generation of nurses, announced the appointment of Patrick Rombalski, Ed.D., as chief operating officer, bringing decades of leadership experience in higher education and healthcare to the university’s executive team.

Rombalski joins Joyce University with extensive experience leading large-scale academic operations and advancing student success initiatives at institutions across the country. In his new role, he will help guide operational strategy and support the university’s continued growth as it prepares the future nursing workforce.

“Patrick brings a deep understanding of how to build and scale high-quality nursing programs while keeping student success at the center of every decision,” said Josh Knotts, president and CEO of Joyce University. “That perspective is exactly what Joyce needs as we continue expanding access to high-quality nursing education and preparing the next generation of nurses for practice across the country.”

Prior to joining Joyce University, Rombalski served as chief operating officer at Chamberlain University, the nation’s largest nursing institution. In that role, he led national operational strategy across 23 campus programs and multiple online degree offerings while overseeing enrollment management, student support, facilities, technology integration, and expansion. Earlier in his career, he held senior student affairs leadership roles at Boston College and John Carroll University, including serving as Vice President for Student Affairs.

Rombalski holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania and has built his career in higher education leadership and academic administration.

“I’m honored to join Joyce University at such an exciting moment in its growth,” said Rombalski. “Joyce has built a strong reputation for preparing practice-ready nurses, and I look forward to working alongside the leadership team, faculty, and staff to strengthen operations, support student success, and expand opportunities for those pursuing careers in healthcare.”
