On Monday, Intrepid Fiber Networks hosted a groundbreaking event in Louisville, Colorado, commemorating the continued construction of its open-access fiber broadband network. This initiative aims to deliver symmetrical, multi-gigabit internet speeds to local residents and businesses, transforming the city’s digital landscape and preparing it for future broadband needs.
Construction is already underway, with service currently available in select areas, and completion of the project anticipated in early 2027. This deployment aligns with Intrepid’s commitment to expanding access to world-class broadband across the US. With Louisville joining the network, Intrepid proudly extends its open-access service to over a dozen communities across Colorado.
Present at the ceremony was the City’s Mayor, Chris Leh, Mayor Pro Tem Caleb Dickinson, Council Member Josh Cooperman, and key members of Intrepid’s leadership team. During his speech, Mayor Leh highlighted the advantages of the project, stating, “This is a major investment in our city’s future, ensuring residents and businesses have fast, reliable internet for work, education, and everyday life.”
He emphasized the network’s importance for modern digital needs, saying, “Fiber internet is built for the future, offering lightning-fast speeds and unmatched reliability. Whether for remote work, online learning, or running a business, this new infrastructure ensures Louisville stays competitive in the digital economy.”
Jack Waters, CEO of Intrepid Fiber Networks, echoed this sentiment, adding, “We’re proud to play a part in Louisville’s growth and innovation by building an infrastructure that meets current needs and anticipates future demands.”
