Intersect has been recognized for improving energy security and stability of the Texas power grid by adding nearly 1 GWh of standalone battery energy storage systems at a rapid pace to meet growing power demand.

For these battery energy storage systems, Intersect secured one of the largest U.S. battery storage transactions to date totaling an impressive $837 million in financing commitments for the construction and operation and in just one year, brought the systems to completion.
Intersect develops, owns, and operates some of the country’s largest battery storage resources at its solar + storage facilities. The company’s 2.4 GWh battery storage portfolio can flexibly dispatch reliable, clean energy during critical moments of grid instability. Intersect plans to break ground on an additional 4 GW of solar PV and 10 GWh of battery storage in 2025 as it builds co-located facilities to meet the unprecedented energy demands of AI data centers and additional grid-tied energy resources.
