Motor system recognized for its impact in energy management for the world’s most demanding applications
Infinitum, creator of the sustainable air-core motor, today announced that its Aircore Heavy Duty motor system has earned a 2025 Bronze Edison Award, marking the third consecutive year the company has been honored by the program for its game-changing product innovations, value and impact.
Infinitum’s Aircore Heavy Duty is a next-generation, high-efficiency motor system that powers the world’s most demanding pumps and fans – such as those in data centers and industrial facilities – with reduced energy consumption, emissions and waste.
Infinitum’s motors consume up to 25% less energy and use to 66% less copper than other traditional motor solutions. The motor’s modular design improves serviceability and reusability to extend product life and deliver greater value for customers. Infinitum’s ability to rightsize motors to fit applications means each motor requires fewer amps, reducing electrical infrastructure requirements and freeing up power capacity within facilities.
“When optimizing every watt matters, our Aircore Heavy Duty brings more efficient power management to the world’s most energy-intensive applications and positively impacts the bottom line through energy savings,” said Ben Schuler, CEO of Infinitum. “The entire team is honored to be recognized once again for changing the paradigm for electric motors with our innovative products.”
The Edison Awards utilizes a peer-reviewed voting process, where each nomination undergoes evaluation by a multidisciplinary Steering Committee and professionals from industries related to each award category in order to select the finalists. Nominations were evaluated on three key criteria in 2025, which were concept, value and impact.
