Infinitum's Aircore EC Motor Wins Top E+E Leader Awards

Judges recognize Infinitum for redefining motor industry with a critical, sustainable solution that reduces electricity consumption in the built environment

Infinitum, creator of the breakthrough air-core motor, today announced its Aircore EC motor system is a winner of the Judges’ Choice and Top Product of the Year Awards in the prestigious 2025 E+E Leader Product & Project Awards program. Judges recognized Infinitum’s motor system as the top-scoring product that improves sustainability and efficiency in corporate, building and campus environments.

The E+E Leader Product & Project Awards honors the products and projects driving meaningful improvements in sustainability, energy management and the bottom line. Awards were scored by independent judges from more than 20 companies including Hyundai Motor Group, JLL, Air Force OEA, Navitas Partners, UCLA, TRC Companies, IWSI America, Intrinsic Textiles, Climate Social and CapGemini.

One judge remarked, “Infinitum is redefining the electric motor industry with an innovative, sustainable approach that prioritizes energy efficiency, circularity and emissions reduction. Infinitum’s lightweight, highly efficient motors offer a critical solution to reduce electricity consumption and carbon footprints.”

Infinitum has created a new paradigm for an electric motor that can power the world with less energy and fewer carbon emissions, while promoting repairability and circularity. When compared to conventional motors, the Infinitum motor is upwards of 20% more efficient, 50% lighter, uses 66% less copper and no iron, and produces significantly lower sound power noise. The motor’s reusable components stay in service and out of landfills to serve the next generation.

“At Infinitum we’re not just building a motor — we’re driving an entire industry forward. Our Aircore EC motor system is revolutionizing the way power-hungry facilities like data centers consume energy more responsibly at a time when every watt counts,” said Ben Schuler, founder and CEO, Infinitum. “The entire Infinitum team is honored to be recognized again for our work in creating an innovative motor system that contributes to a more sustainable future while also benefiting customers’ bottom lines.”

“Every year, our judges look to recognize the businesses that are truly moving the needle and striving for sustainability and operational efficiency,” says Kay Harrison, VP and head of the E+E Leader Awards program. “This year’s winners exemplify the kind of forward-thinking strategies and technologies that companies need to stay ahead in an increasingly complex energy and environmental landscape.”
