Hirebotics Promotes Co-Founder Matthew Bush to CEO

Bush succeeds Rob Goldiez, who retires after 10+ years leading the metal fabrication-focused collaborative robot company

Hirebotics, LLC, a leading provider of collaborative robot (cobot) solutions for the metal fabrication industry, today announced that co-founder and chief operating officer Matthew Bush has been appointed chief executive officer effective February 20. Bush succeeds co-founder Rob Goldiez, who is retiring from the company after more than a decade of leadership.

Since Bush and Goldiez launched Hirebotics in 2015, Bush has overseen the company’s electro-mechanical product development, manufacturing operations, and customer success initiatives, with the company’s Beacon™-powered cobot welding and cutting systems now deployed in fabrication shops across the globe. Prior to Hirebotics, Bush held multiple senior leadership positions at several of IDEX Corporation companies and The Scott Fetzer Company, where he led operational improvement initiatives as a Master Black Belt, Director of Operations and Director of Global Engineered Solutions after earning an MBA from the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business and a masters of arts degree in industrial technology from the University of Northern Iowa.

“This transition comes at a time of strong momentum for Hirebotics, and the opportunities ahead of us are tremendous,” Bush said. “Skilled welders are in short supply, the cobot market continues to see rapid growth, and fabrication shops of every size need tools that help them do more with the talented people they do have. Our no-code, app-based approach tocobot applications is solving that problem every day, and we’re just getting started.”

Goldiez’s tenure includes multiple innovations and awards

Goldiez has been instrumental in building the company from a bold idea into one of the most recognized names in cobot welding and fabrication automation. Under his leadership, Hirebotics secured early-stage funding in 2017, launched its flagship Cobot Welder powered by Beacon in 2021, and earned Universal Robots’ Global OEM of the Year award multiple times. From the start, his vision that robots should be hired like people, and that automation should empower welders rather than replace them, has defined the company’s identity.

“Rob’s impact on Hirebotics and on the broader cobot industry cannot be overstated,” Bush added. “He built this company on the principle that automation should include people, not replace them. That philosophy is at the heart of everything we do, and I’m honored to carry it forward. On behalf of the entire Hirebotics team, I want to thank Rob for his partnership, his leadership, and his friendship over these past eleven years.”
