Guardian Appoints Melody La Rue as VP of Property Operations

Guardian, a leading operator, developer, and owner of multifamily real estate, is pleased to announce the appointment of Melody La Rue as Vice President of Property Operations. In this role, La Rue will oversee operations for Guardian’s affordable and market-rate multifamily communities.

La Rue brings more than 20 years of leadership and management experience across residential, commercial, and retail properties. She is recognized for leading high-performing teams, strengthening property performance, and creating forward-thinking strategies that improve efficiency, profitability, and resident satisfaction. La Rue’s hire comes at a pivotal time as Guardian continues to expand its operations in the Western United States.

“Melody’s proven leadership and ability to build high-performing teams will be invaluable as Guardian continues to grow,” said Josh Lloyd, Guardian’s Chief Operating Officer. “Her expertise will not only strengthen our operations platform but also enhance the experience of our residents and team members.”

Before joining Guardian, La Rue worked as Asset Manager for Vintage Housing’s Pacific Northwest Division. In this role, she oversaw a portfolio of 25 properties, totaling approximately 5,000 units, where she ensured strong financial and operational performance across the portfolio. Her background also includes leadership positions with Lincoln Property Company, Coast, E&S Ring, and Templeton Residential.

“I’ve built my career on leading strong teams, improving operations, and creating lasting value for residents and owners,” said La Rue. “I was drawn to Guardian’s reputation for integrity, innovation, and commitment to its communities, and I’m excited to bring my experience and passion to this role.”
