Elite Learning Releases 2025 State of Nursing Guide

Elite Learning, a comprehensive online learning destination for licensed professionals, today announced the release of the 2025 State of the Nursing Profession Guide to assist nursing professionals in navigating changes in healthcare practices, tools and technologies, evaluating salaries and salary goals and preparing for future healthcare challenges.

“This year, we’ve witnessed nurses stepping into roles as healthcare innovators and technology champions, following in the footsteps of countless nursing pioneers who challenged convention before us,” said Candace Pierce, DNP, RN, Senior Course Development Manager of Nursing at Elite Learning. “What strikes me most about our current moment is how we’re building upon nursing’s foundational principle: that healthcare innovation must center on human dignity and optimal outcomes.”

The 2025 State of the Nursing Profession Guide summarizes the current outlook of nurses across the country. Highlights of the guide include:

  • Average salary by state
  • What nurses are seeing with AI in healthcare—the things that excite them, and the things that concern them
  • Recommendations for healthcare professionals as they prepare for a future pandemic or other similar large-scale health event
  • Advice for new nurses
  • Fun facts like favorite scrub color, favorite medical TV drama, best theme songs for charting marathons, and the most wished for nursing superpowers

To create the guide, Elite Learning surveyed hundreds of customers, receiving valuable insights into their daily habits, professional achievements, current salaries and salary goals, as well as their thoughts on timely topics like AI in healthcare and future pandemic preparedness. The 2025 Nursing State of the Profession Guide is Elite Learning’s fourth consecutive annual guide.

“We want nurses to know that we are listening and are here for them, just like they are always here for their patients,” continued Pierce. “This guide is available as one of our many resources to help connect nurses with current trends and with a community of fellow nurses.”
