Decatur Plastic Products, Rebranded as Elton USA

Decatur Plastic Products (DPP), a long-standing American automotive injection molding company, has repositioned for accelerated growth after receiving significant capital investment from veteran Canadian manufacturer, Elton Manufacturing. Under new ownership, DPP has been officially integrated and rebranded as “Elton USA”. Since the transition, production has surged, reflecting enhanced operational capacity and a renewed strategic focus.

Following a fire in its flocking line in June 2024, DPP, Indiana, faced ongoing operational challenges, but experienced a dramatic turnaround following the transfer of its assets to Elton Manufacturing on June 13, 2025. Backed by this partnership, newly named Elton USA is actively scaling its operational capabilities by acquiring advanced machinery and robotics and optimizing internal processes for greater efficiency.

Alongside its capital advantage, Elton Manufacturing leverages over four decades of business and operational expertise to drive operational excellence and long-term growth at Elton USA. The company remains committed to sustained investment in its core operations. “With Elton Manufacturing’s support, we continue to deliver the same high-quality product and service customers have relied on—now strengthened by expanded resources and a shared vision for the future,” said Gary Riley, President of Elton USA.

In addition, this partnership ensures continuity for existing staff and protects critical roles, supporting domestic growth in the automotive industry. Elton USA is committed to preserving the expertise and institutional knowledge it has gained and cultivated over the years and to retain the highly skilled team that has contributed to their longevity.

Speaking about the recent acquisition, Tom Boer, Founder and President of Elton Manufacturing, shared valuable insights on this strategic initiative, stating, “This is a tremendous opportunity for us and we’re looking forward to continuing to increase production and expand relationships with our existing customers to better serve the automotive industry.”
