Business Insight Journal Interview with Raz Dar, Chief Executive Officer, Elvee.ai

Raz Dar on cutting employee turnover by 62%. Learn how data-driven precision replaces gut instinct for proactive talent retention.

Raz, as the CEO of Elvee.ai, you’ve positioned the company as the first AI platform designed to reduce employee attrition. What originally drove you to focus on solving this challenge in such a unique way?
Through our journey exploring various AI solutions across industries, we discovered our true calling: creating technology that strengthens human connections rather than diminishing them. We recognized that companies are literally leaving money on the table by not addressing their employee attrition problem. We realized that while high-performing employees are promoted to management roles, they often lack support for that transition, creating a costly revolving door with no tools for retaining top talent other than gut feelings.

High turnover remains one of the most costly problems across industries. Why do you think companies have historically struggled to address this issue effectively?
The fundamental problem is that even when action is taken to retain employees, it is reactive at best, and often too late. Managers have been relying on intuition and gut feelings rather than data-driven insights. Costs for replacing a single employee have climbed to sky-high levels, often half to four times their annual salary, yet organizations lack the predictive tools to identify at-risk employees before they walk out the door. Traditional retention methods are mostly based on instinct rather than data, which proves insufficient in today’s complex workplace environment.

Elvee’s ability to cut attrition by up to 62% is remarkable. What makes your approach stand apart from other HR and analytics tools in the market?
Our unique AI solution monitors thousands of data points related to employees and achieves a nearly 90% accuracy rate in identifying workplace issues and successfully resolving issues that lead to attrition. What sets us apart is that we combine AI with emotional intelligence, providing managers with not just data, but actionable insights and intelligent heatmaps. We provide managers with instant visibility and the tools needed to elevate employee motivation, performance, and proficiency. We’re not just another analytics tool. We’re a complete solution that transforms data into revenue-generating action plans by strengthening human connections.

Managers are often promoted for performance but not always trained in leadership. How does Elvee specifically help inexperienced supervisors succeed in retaining and motivating their teams?
Our platform equips managers with unprecedented visibility into team dynamics, transforming good leaders into great ones by helping them truly see and understand their people. We transform data into action with instant insights and clear next steps through intelligent notifications and conversational queries. Our platform enables supervisors to obtain retention advice in the language of their choice, creating the perfect bridge between managers and actionable intelligence. This empowers even inexperienced supervisors with the tools and confidence they need to make informed decisions about their teams.

Your platform pulls from tens of thousands of data points, even including traffic patterns and local events. How important is this broader context in accurately predicting employee behavior?
Leveraging over 25,000 unique data points for each call center agent is crucial because employee behavior doesn’t exist in a vacuum. External factors and broader contextual data help us understand the complete picture of what influences employee satisfaction and retention risk. This comprehensive approach is what enables us to achieve our 90% accuracy rate in predicting workforce challenges, because we’re not just looking at workplace metrics in isolation, we’re understanding the full ecosystem that affects each employee’s experience.

Attrition is often seen as inevitable, yet Elvee claims to predict flight risks with 90% accuracy up to three months in advance. How does this early insight change how companies approach talent management?
Our platform achieves over 90% accuracy in predicting workforce risks and enables managers to proactively address challenges. This early warning system completely transforms talent management from reactive to proactive. Instead of scrambling to replace employees who have already decided to leave, managers can intervene months in advance with targeted retention strategies. Our customers are seeing concrete results in recapturing revenue, retaining top performers, and gaining a visible and distinct competitive advantage. It shifts the entire paradigm from damage control to prevention.

Financial losses from turnover can be staggering, especially in high-demand professions. How do you communicate the business case for investing in retention technology to decision-makers?
Companies are leaving money on the table by not taking care of their employee attrition problem, it’s as simple as that. In its initial deployments, Elvee cut attrition by 62% and saved customers millions per year, with an even higher return for more highly skilled employees. Beyond the direct cost savings, reduced turnover directly improves customer experience, since seasoned employees build stronger relationships, deliver more consistent service, and create the kind of reliability that drives loyalty. The ROI is clear and measurable. We’re not just preventing costs, we’re directly contributing to revenue recovery, customer experience, and competitive advantage.

Beyond identifying risks, Elvee also recommends remedies tailored to each situation. What kinds of interventions have you seen make the biggest difference in keeping employees engaged?
We consolidate performance metrics, personal context, and manager feedback in a single view that turns fragmented data into actionable and measurable development opportunities. The most effective interventions are highly personalized based on each individual’s specific risk factors and motivations. We enhance what truly drives business success: team morale that fosters belonging and purpose, performance metrics that celebrate growth not just outcomes, and professional development that empowers continuous improvement. The key is moving beyond one-size-fits-all solutions to truly personalized strategies.

Contact centers are a prime example of where disengagement harms growth. How does your solution transform outcomes in such high-turnover environments?
At Elvee, we believe behind every outstanding customer experience is a motivated, empowered team. And behind every empowered team is a contact center manager with the tools to lead effectively. Contact centers are stuck in a cycle of low engagement, constant turnover, and declining performance. Elvee disrupts that cycle. We’re not here to tweak the system, we’re here to transform it. Our solution helps managers drive measurable improvements in agent performance, retention KPIs, and customer satisfaction while cultivating a workplace culture where agents feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Looking toward the future, how do you envision AI reshaping workforce management, not just in preventing attrition but in building more motivated and high-performing teams overall?
We see a future where AI and the human workforce collaborate, to provide unparalleled customer experience. In that world, organizations will have to empower their managers and employees with the best technology, processes, and motivation for improved performance. Elvee is the connector that makes it all possible. The real magic is our compounding effect. Elvee enables organizations to Elevate Lifetime Value of the employee, drive Customer Lifetime Value and satisfaction and achieve sustainable success through better managers, better teams, and better business outcomes. AI won’t replace human managers, it will make them exponentially more effective at understanding, supporting, and empowering their teams.
