Agudelo to Lead Global Investor Relations as Core Spaces Expands Its Student Housing and Build-to-Rent Platforms

Core Spaces (“Core”), a vertically integrated real estate developer, operator and investment manager, today announced the appointment of Juan Sebastian Agudelo as Managing Director of Institutional Capital Raising. In his new role, Agudelo will play a critical role in leading the firm’s engagement with global institutional investors and further strengthening Core’s reputation as a trusted, specialist real estate manager.

Since its founding in 2010, Core has redefined niche real estate sectors through its innovative approach to development and hospitality-driven property management. Today, the company stands as a recognized leader in both student housing and build-to-rent markets, with more than 48,000 student beds under management, another 49,800 in its development pipeline, and over 3,000 build-to-rent homes under development, leasing or planned.

As Managing Director of Institutional Capital Raising, Juan Sebastian Agudelo will be responsible for expanding Core’s relationships with global institutional investors across its student housing and build-to-rent platforms.

With nearly two decades of experience in investment, capital markets and business development, Juan has executed over $4.1 billion in transactions across major and alternative property types, specializing in capital formation, investment strategy and product development.

Before joining Core, he held senior roles at Bridge Investment Group and PGIM Private Alternatives and began his career in investment banking and capital markets at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Juan holds a B.S. in Finance and Economics from Seton Hall University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
