CodeGreen Appoints Harry Bergmann to Lead National BPS Expansion

CodeGreen, a leading provider of code compliance and sustainability services to the real estate industry, is pleased to welcome Harry Bergmann as Director of the Building Performance Standards (BPS) and Data Management practice. Harry most recently held multiple roles at the U.S. Department of Energy focused on BPS, energy codes, energy data, and emerging technologies.

Harry brings over 10 years of experience at the nexus of energy and climate policy, technology, and building optimization to drive the real estate industry toward a net zero future. While at the U.S. Department of Energy, he led programs to improve energy efficiency and resilience for new and existing buildings through building codes, financial incentives, and BPS. He has seen firsthand the challenges and opportunities associated with decarbonizing both new and existing buildings.

At CodeGreen, Harry will lead the expansion of the firm’s BPS reporting and decarbonization strategy services across the country. Navigating benchmarking and BPS regulations requires a detailed understanding of local policies, building operations, and utility data management. CodeGreen has performed over 1 billion square feet of energy compliance filings since 2010, and Harry’s expertise in these areas will accelerate the positive impact CodeGreen delivers to its clients.

“Harry’s deep expertise at the intersection of policy, technology, and building operations is unmatched,” said Geraldine Diaz, President of CodeGreen. “As more cities and states adopt Building Performance Standards, our clients need trusted partners who understand both the regulatory landscape and the operational realities of decarbonization. Harry will play a critical role in helping CodeGreen expand nationally while continuing to deliver practical, data-driven solutions for building owners.”
