AppsAnywhere Partners with Cordance to Boost Higher Ed IT Innovation

Cordance acquisition of AppsAnywhere is set to expand capabilities in application delivery, IT efficiency and create greater digital equity for students and higher education institutions.

The acquisition of AppsAnywhere was announced today by Cordance, a software company that partners with founder-led, mission-focused companies to accelerate growth and scale innovation in education. AppsAnywhere will join Cordance’s growing portfolio of education technology solutions.

AppsAnywhere provides universities with a student-centric, cost-effective, and compliant way to deliver software to students and faculty on any device, without the complexity or expense of traditional VDI platforms. Trusted by more than 300 institutions worldwide, the platform supports millions of users by ensuring seamless application access across both university-owned and BYOD environments.

The move brings AppsAnywhere into close alignment with LabStats, another Cordance company serving higher education IT leaders. Together, the two solutions create a powerful combination of real-time usage analytics and flexible software delivery, helping institutions optimize access, device usage, licensing spend, and infrastructure planning, while directly supporting improved student success.

This acquisition comes at a significant time for the sector globally, as higher education leaders work to stay ahead of the expectations of an increasingly diverse student population while driving greater IT efficiencies. AppsAnywhere remains committed to continuing to develop solutions to provide some of the biggest challenges in higher education IT, creating digital equity for students and simplicity for IT teams.

“Joining Cordance marks a powerful next step for AppsAnywhere,” said Nick Johnson, CEO of AppsAnywhere. “We’ve always believed that software delivery in higher education requires purpose-built tools, not one-size-fits-all solutions. With Cordance’s partnership and the opportunity to collaborate closely with LabStats, we’re excited to expand our impact, drive further innovations, and continue removing the technical barriers to student success.”

“I’m thrilled to welcome AppsAnywhere to the Cordance organization,” said Caroline Morris, Chief Executive Officer at Cordance. “This acquisition strengthens our commitment to higher education and expands the ways we can support IT leaders as they modernize their institutions. By pairing AppsAnywhere’s delivery platform with LabStats’ analytics, we’re not only helping universities run more efficiently, we’re empowering them to create better digital experiences that drive long-term student success.”

By integrating AppsAnywhere into its education portfolio alongside LabStats, Cordance deepens its investment in higher education technology and reinforces its mission to build and support a community of high-performing, industry specialist SaaS businesses. This unique combination delivers capabilities that other providers can’t match.
