My Ride K-12 School Transportation App Surpasses One Million Users

Tyler Technologies' Ride K-12 School Transportation App Surpasses One Million Users

Tyler Technologies achieves major adoption milestone for highly-rated education app for parents

Tyler Technologies, Inc (NYSE: TYL) announced today that its My Ride K-12 mobile app has surpassed over 1 million users.

“This milestone demonstrates our commitment to being a complete school transportation technology provider,” said Ted Thien, general manager of student transportation for Tyler Technologies. “The My Ride K-12 app creates a more positive experience for bus drivers, parents, and their children with clear communication and safety protocols.”

My Ride K-12 gives parents and guardians direct access to their child’s school bus location, route, and pickup time. The app’s push notifications streamline communication between schools and families, reducing call volume to transportation departments. To date, Tyler Technologies has delivered more than 958 million estimated time of arrival notifications through the app’s platform.

When paired with Tyler Drive, Tyler’s onboard driver tablet, the two solutions keep everyone – including parents, students, bus drivers, and school administration – seamlessly connected. Tyler Drive provides turn-by-turn navigation, rerouting options, and built-in location tracking. These features help buses stay on schedule and provide accurate, real-time updates for parents.

“Tyler’s extensive software options transform how we manage school transportation,” said Karol Day, transportation director of Allen ISD in Texas. “Principals and school administrators have immediate access to accurate bus information to reduce frustrations from parents and give us all peace of mind.”

This year, Tyler expanded its student transportation offering with the launch of Arrival Board, a new product that provides a centralized dashboard of real-time bus locations across the school district. With simple map access and detailed bus information, Arrival Board helps ensure transparency and safety of every bus in the district.

With the start of the 2025-2026 school year just beginning, My Ride K-12 has already supported 359,000 new students, underscoring the growing trust and confidence of school districts and parents of Tyler’s technology for safe and efficient student transportation.
