Life Science Connect (“LSC”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Douglas Emslie to its Board of Directors. Mr. Emslie will focus his efforts on further developing LSC’s live event capabilities and offerings. With several decades of experience building influential event portfolios that foster collaboration, partnerships, and industry growth, Mr. Emslie brings substantial expertise to this role. LSC is a portfolio Company of Latticework Capital Management and Edgehill Management.
LSC, headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is an intelligent, data-driven platform designed for B2B connection, collaboration, and contribution. As a leader in digital media for the life sciences, LSC is committed to enhancing professional connections within the sector to accelerate research, development, manufacturing, and the application of scientific innovations.
Mr. Emslie, a seasoned business leader and investor with extensive experience in the events and exhibitions industry, was most recently CEO of Tarsus Group, having joined the business when it was launched in 1998. He previously held senior positions at Blenheim Group plc and after its takeover, United Business Media plc. Mr. Emslie is a past Chairman and Director of the Association of Event Organizers (AEO), as well as past Chairman of the Events Industry Alliance. He is a board member of US industry advocacy body, the Exhibitions & Conferences Alliance (ECA) and was also the first international board member of the US industry trade body, SISO, where he went on to serve as Chair. Mr. Emslie oversaw the acquisition of Tarsus Group by Informa plc. and now, as head of Cuil Bay Capital, he is rapidly expanding his events investment portfolio with more than 10 assets to date. In his spare time, he runs marathons and ultra-marathons around the world. He is also Chairman of the Trustees of the Green Hub for Teens charity.
