Latham & Watkins LLP1 is pleased to announce that Rebecca Landau has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the Real Estate Practice. Landau represents institutional lenders, financial institutions, and private capital providers in complex commercial real estate financings and structured transactions.

Landau brings extensive experience representing real estate debt funds, global investment banks, mortgage real estate investment trusts (REITs), and other institutional lenders in complex commercial real estate financings and restructurings, as well as advising on sophisticated structured transactions, including preferred equity investments and transactions involving mortgage REITs.

Landau is the second partner to join Latham’s Real Estate Practice in the last month. Michael Rechtin joined the Chicago office in August 2025, bringing market leading experience representing private capital providers, developers, and other investors in large scale data center developments, with particular knowledge in leasing and end user agreements.
Landau joins from Haynes Boone. She received her JD from Brooklyn Law School and her BS from Washington University in St. Louis.
