Savvas Learning Company and Renaissance Announced Partnership

Global K-12 education technology leaders Savvas Learning Company and Renaissance are excited to announce they are partnering to reshape data-driven instruction in the classroom with a powerful, new integrated solution that combines award-winning core curriculum from Savvas with Star Assessments from Renaissance to empower educators with actionable recommendations that accelerate student learning outcomes.

By leveraging the connection of two best-in-class platforms, Savvas Learning Company Realize and Renaissance Next, educators can now unlock an integrated user experience that provides immediate access to assessment data and instructional content, enabling them to get the most of their instructional time while supporting the diverse needs of all students.

“This groundbreaking collaboration pairs the high-quality, evidence-based, standards-aligned core curriculum Savvas Learning Company is known for with cutting-edge Star Assessments data that give educators a clear view of where students are and what they’re ready to learn next,” said Marc Nelson, vice president of platform product management at Savvas Learning Company. “By offering this robust integration, we are able to provide educators targeted instructional recommendations and assignable personalized content from our Savvas core curriculum based on students’ individual learning needs, as identified by Star Assessments.”

“We’re opening our platform to deliver a more seamless and powerful experience that helps educators quickly understand and respond to student learning needs,” said Todd Brekhus, Chief Product Officer at Renaissance. “This integration simplifies the path from assessment to instruction—making it easier than ever to pinpoint skill gaps and connect students with the right resources. By bringing together high-quality curriculum, standards alignment, and actionable data, we’re giving teachers the tools to personalize learning, save time, and drive meaningful growth for every student.”

The first-ever collaboration between Renaissance and Savvas Learning Company will provide educators many powerful benefits, including:

  • A powerful integration of assessments with core curriculum: By aligning Star Assessments on Renaissance Next with core curriculum resources on Savvas Realize, assessment data is translated into clear instructional next steps, empowering educators to more quickly and efficiently plan instruction, differentiation, and intervention based on students’ learning needs.
  • A unique, integrated user experience through Renaissance Next and Savvas Learning Company Realize: Educators can view key Star Assessment data directly within Savvas Realize, including recommended instructional groupings and aligned Savvas resources. On Renaissance Next, educators can get instructional recommendations for individual students or skill groups, then browse aligned resources from both Renaissance programs and Savvas core curriculum.
  • Optimized instruction to accelerate student growth: Utilizing Star Assessment data to clearly identify mastered skills, next learning steps, and areas needing support to reach grade-level expectations — all aligned with the same standards as the Savvas core curriculum — educators can deliver targeted instruction, differentiation, and intervention to improve students’ learning outcomes.

Another major advantage of this new integration is that it allows educators to easily assign personalized, standards-aligned resources targeting identified challenge areas and ensuring students receive the right support to meet academic standards. It also recommends flexible instructional groupings based on students’ assessed learning needs, along with specific skills to teach and core curriculum resources to use for each group.
