iCode Adds Codie Blocks to Nationwide Curriculum

iCode, one of the nation’s fastest-growing computer science education providers, is partnering with Codie Blocks to bring hands-on coding to children as young as three years old. Codie Blocks, which officially launched direct to teachers today, will now roll out across 70+ iCode franchise locations nationwide as part of their daytime curriculum program, Early Childhood Parent and Child Classes.

Based on the hit PBS member station TV show Mia & Codie, the program is designed to teach kids how to code before they can even read or write, using colorful, emoji-based coding blocks that encourage creative thinking and problem-solving. Kids don’t just learn—they build, create, and Run The Code!

Created by two time Emmy Award-winning producer Don Moody (WordWorld), Codie Blocks combines a physical coding toy, an interactive learning app, and classroom-tested lesson plans aligned to computer science standards. It’s the simplest way to teach coding—by making it fun, hands-on, and play-driven.

“This partnership gives us a complete solution for younger kids,” said Abid Abedi, CEO of iCode. “Codie Blocks is intuitive, fun, and educational—perfect for introducing preschoolers to the foundations of coding.”

As part of the program, every iCode center will receive the full Codie Blocks Universe, which includes:

  • Codie Dock-n-Block hardware kits that connect seamlessly with the Codie App
  • Exclusive iCode lesson plans
  • Access to the Codie Educator Portal which includes Mia & Codie animated videos, as seen on PBS member stations, unplugged activities, and more

The Mia & Codie TV series on PBS member stations features characters that kids love: Mia, an almost-eight-year-old coding whiz, and Codie, the “bro-bot” she built to be the little brother she always wanted. Together, they tackle challenges—make mistakes and try again, turn the ordinary into the extraordinary, and inspire kids to put their own coding caps on when they chant their catchphrase: ‘Run The Code!’

“We’re thrilled to partner with iCode,” said Don Moody, founder of Codie, LLC. “Together, we’re preparing kids for an AI-powered world by giving them the tools to think like coders—before they even learn to read.”

The program is already trusted by school districts, libraries, and PBS member stations, and will also be featured this fall on the homepages of Scholastic and Scratch.

As of today, Codie Blocks is now available nationwide to public school teachers directly at www.codieblocks.com.
