Base Power Expands to Dallas to Bolster Home Energy, Grid Support

Base Power

Dallas homeowners can now access Base’s first-of-its-kind energy service, delivering lower power bills, whole-home backup, and support for the Texas grid.

Base Power today announced its expansion into Dallas, a major milestone in its mission to redefine how energy is delivered across Texas. With service now available throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, including Dallas, Irving, North Richland Hills, Coppell, and beyond, Base is bringing its battery-powered home energy model to more than seven million Texans statewide.

“Expanding into Dallas is a major milestone for Base—one we’ve been building towards since day one,” said Zach Dell, CEO and co-founder of Base Power. “This city reflects the scale and ambition behind our mission, and we couldn’t be more excited to finally serve the thousands of households that have been waiting for a better energy solution.”

Since launching last year in the Austin area, Base has rapidly expanded across Texas—now serving homeowners throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, and Plano; key parts of Houston like Harris County, Katy, Sugar Land, and Magnolia; and cities around Austin like Round Rock, Pflugerville, Temple, and Killeen. The company has raised over $270 million to drive expansion, building on partnerships with leading homebuilders like Lennar and forward-thinking utilities including GVEC and Bandera Electric Cooperative.

To support its growth in DFW, Base has opened an office and warehouse in Grapevine and hired over 10 full-time employees locally. The company now has over 200 team members across its Austin headquarters, Bay Area engineering hub, and statewide field operations.

Base offers a simple, all-in-one energy plan that includes a whole-home backup battery—with no solar required, but compatibility for homes that have it. When the grid goes down, the battery automatically powers the home. Unlike traditional backup systems with steep upfront costs, Base earns revenue by providing services to the grid—enabling Texans to get reliable backup and real savings, starting at just $695 for installation and $19/month.

Interested homeowners across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex can now sign up for Base at basepowercompany.com.
