SheTO Surpasses 5,000 Members Across 65 Countries

With a foundation built by and for women engineers, SheTO’s global network and specialized programs are fostering the next generation of women and non-binary leadership in tech

SheTO, the largest global network of women and non-binary engineering leaders, proudly announces the organization’s remarkable growth of over 5,000 members across 65 countries. Also celebrating three years since incorporation, SheTO’s recent milestone has been reach ed entirely through organic growth, driven by referrals and strong connections within the community.

Led by CEO and co-founder, Nidhi Gupta, SheTO was born to address the immense gender gap in engineering executive roles. With less than 9% of engineering executive positions held by women, Gupta set out to change this statistic and created a powerful community of women coming together and advancing their careers.

“In my own career as an engineer, I was almost always the only woman in the room,” said Nidhi Gupta, CEO and co-founder of SheTO. “That personal experience fueled my determination to create a space where women and non-binary engineering leaders could connect, elevate, and inspire each other. Reaching over 5,000 members in 65 countries isn’t just a number; it’s a testament to the undeniable need for women in engineering leadership roles to grow and support each. We’re now seeing the powerful impact we’re making in accelerating careers and reshaping the landscape of engineering leadership worldwide.”

SheTO proudly hosts annual summits, regular events, and offers accelerator programs and workshops – all designed to aid in accelerating the careers of women in engineering, delivered by experienced engineering executives. To further drive community engagement, the organization has also launched global hubs in the San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay, South Bay, and San Francisco), Seattle, New York, Boston, Toronto, and London, giving members the opportunity to build meaningful, impactful connections in-person.

“My goal from the beginning has always been to deliver enough value that people are drawn to SheTO. I thought to myself, ‘Even if just one woman’s career is impacted, then my mission will be complete.’ Now, I’m incredibly proud to say that we’ve helped impact countless women’s careers, with many more to come in the future,” added Gupta. “We also recognize that meaningful change cannot come without the support of allies. We are immensely grateful to our partners, including Allstacks, Mayfield Fund, Okta, Rubrik, and Capital One, who stand with us. Their support is crucial in moving our mission forward and building a stronger, more inclusive workforce for everyone.”

SheTO is proud to be a 100% vetted community, built exclusively for women+ leaders in Engineering, IT and adjacent roles. All members apply and are accepted based on a set of criteria to ensure every member contributes to and receives real value from the community. The community’s sustained growth is a direct reflection of its value to engineering leaders around the world.
