Momentum Miami Ignites New Era of Opportunity for K-12 Support in the 305

Halfway through its $100M commitment, the consortium celebrates significant milestones and doubles down on K-12 education.

As we pass the halfway point of our five-year commitment to deploy $100M to bring the benefits of technology to all Miamians, we have some exciting updates to share with our community.

Tech Equity Miami is now Momentum Miami! This name change reflects the breadth of our work, and the energy we’ve built behind it. We know that the impactful work of our partners and Momentum Miami will continue to power the education, job opportunities, and digital modernization that make up a thriving tech ecosystem, and, in turn, provide economic mobility and opportunity across the city.

From the beginning, our work has been driven by data. As we celebrate meeting our goals in three of our four key pillars, the numbers show we have much work to do in supporting high quality K-12 education. For that reason, we will be doubling down on seeking donors doing important work in this space and connecting them with the organizations having the most impact.

As with all of our work, tackling the challenges facing K-12 education will take a multi-pronged approach. Our funders consortium was built to do just that: Bring together those invested in having a systemic impact, and facilitate relationships with the organizations doing the work to improve the ecosystem.

Success is an ongoing commitment, and Momentum Miami look forward to continuing to work with all of our impressive partners.
