West Coast Community Bank (WCCB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Gouvion as Chief Operations Officer (COO). Gouvion brings nearly three decades of banking experience and a proven track record of operational leadership, strategic transformation and client-centric innovation.
As COO, Gouvion will oversee the Bank’s business and retail banking operations, treasury management, eBanking and client experience strategy across its four-county service area: Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz.
“Mark’s leadership style, operational expertise and deep understanding of community banking make him an exceptional addition to our executive team,” said Krista Snelling, WCCB President and Chief Executive Officer. “His ability to drive performance while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation will be instrumental as we continue to grow and serve our communities.”
Gouvion most recently served as Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Retail Banking at Pacific Premier Bank, where he led a five-state retail network and spearheaded major initiatives in operational efficiency, digital transformation and client engagement. He previously held executive roles at Opus Bank, U.S. Bank and First Federal Bank of California.

Gouvion is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington and has completed advanced coursework in Business Administration at California State University, Fullerton.
