EdTech Digest’s EdTech Awards recognize company’s leadership and entire ecosystem of early childhood education solutions in annual awards program celebrating contributions to transformative education technology
Teaching Strategies, the country’s leading developer of early childhood curriculum, assessment, professional learning, and family engagement solutions, has won EdTech Digest’s “EdTech Cool Tool Award” for The Creative Curriculum® for Pre-K, a first-of-its-kind curriculum tailored to meet the needs of young learners, teachers, and families in the critical year before kindergarten.
The Creative Curriculum for Pre-K, which earned the top honor in the “curriculum and instruction solution,” leverages a whole-child approach that combines learning through hands-on, play-based studies with daily, explicit, and focused reading and math instruction to ensure students build the fundamental skills and experiences that will set them up for long-term academic success. It is rooted in decades of research on developmentally appropriate practices in learning and informed by over 45 years of insights from early childhood educators.
Teaching Strategies was also named a finalist in six other award categories, spanning testing and assessment to badging and credentialing to professional development to reading and literacy.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by EdTech Digest for our leadership in the sector and for our ongoing commitment to offer children, educators, and families the most innovative, timely solutions,” said Celia Stokes, president of product at Teaching Strategies. “We’re especially excited to take home the top prize for our new pre-K curriculum. On the heels of new national data that show students are still scoring below pre-pandemic levels in reading and math, it’s more important than ever to build a strong foundation for academic success before students enter kindergarten. Our solutions do just that.”
Established in 2010, The EdTech Awards recognize, acknowledge, and celebrate the most exceptional innovators, leaders, and trendsetters in education technology with three main honors: the EdTech Cool Tool Awards, the EdTech Leadership Awards, and the EdTech Trendsetter Awards.
In addition to its win for the Creative Curriculum for Pre-K, Teaching Strategies was named a finalist in six “Cool Tool Awards” categories. The products recognized as finalists include the Early Literacy Certification: Foundations of the Science of Reading™; Professional Development Teacher Membership; GOLD® observational assessment; and The Creative Curriculum® for Infants and The Creative Curriculum® for Toddlers. The full ecosystem of solutions was also honored.
