Sonic Named Official Tools and Tech Center Sponsor of Super GP

Multi-year agreement for Sonic to provide hand tools and title sponsorship for premier racing circuit

Sonic, a leading provider of professional-grade tool solutions and equipment, today announced it has reached an agreement with Super GP Americas Championship to become the Official Tool Sponsor of the USAC-sanctioned Championship presented by BFGoodrich Tires. As part of the agreement, Sonic will also serve as the Title Sponsor of the Championship’s Tech Center, now known as the Sonic Tech Center.

“Racing is where Sonic got its toe hold in North America, so we’re proud to sponsor something that’s a part of our brand DNA,” said Colby McConnell, Co-founder and CEO, Sonic. “Speed, efficiency, and productivity are essential in racing, down to the seconds. Sonic tools and our Sonic Foam System (SFS) inlays provide exactly those three things. We make technicians more efficient in their movements, and those seconds can mean the difference between first and second place.”

Sonic will be the exclusive tool provider used in the Tech Center, where cars are inspected prior to each event and the top three winners are inspected post event to ensure compliance, along with throughout the Series’ Team Tornado USA Arrive & Drive operation. Super GP Americas will have special pricing on Sonic for all Super GP Americas presented by BFGoodrich Tires and registered participants.

“We are very honored that Sonic has chosen to join our Championship as the title sponsor and official hand tool provider,” stated Series Manager, Super GP Americas, Jonathan N. Lewis. “Sonic’s tools are of the highest quality hand tools on the market, so it’s a logo that our racing teams wear and sport with pride.”

The Sonic Foam System (SFS) gives racing technicians the actual edge of speed they need in the fast-paced repair environment. The custom, chemical-resistant foam can fit within any of Sonic’s toolboxes or cabinets to maximize storage space. Its markings and two-tone system make it easy to reference missing tools. The SFS has proven to accelerate toolbox inventory while reducing misplaced tools, thus accelerating retrieval, return, and, most importantly, service and repair times.

Sonic designs and manufactures premium hand tools and storage solutions throughout Europe and Taiwan, focusing on the best locations to produce the highest quality product. The tools are built to last a lifetime, but in the case that a tool does go missing or gets damaged, Sonic offers the best hassle-free warranty program in the tool industry that only takes a few minutes to submit for a replacement.
