Black Dragon CEO Donates $500K to Bright Future Foundation

Hernandez to Personally Match Contributions Leading Up to Foundation’s April 30th New York City Fundraising Event

Louis Hernandez Jr., CEO of Black Dragon Capital, has made a transformative commitment to education with a generous $500,000 annual donation to his nonprofit organization, the Louis Hernandez Jr. Foundation For A Bright Future (FABF). This vital contribution is dedicated to empowering underserved students by enhancing their access to quality education through its annual scholarship program, financial literacy programs, technology workshops, healthcare partnerships with Children’s Hospitals, leadership development, and youth athletic training.

Hernandez’s philanthropic efforts exemplify a deep commitment to investing in the future of our youth. “Education is the cornerstone of opportunity,” said Hernandez. “I believe that by supporting organizations like the FABF Foundation, we can help create pathways for underserved students to achieve their dreams through K-12 and higher education for the next generation of high-potential youth.”

FABF is dedicated to ensuring that every child has the resources and support necessary to thrive. To enhance the impact of its mission, the Foundation is thrilled to introduce the Founder’s Circle initiative, inviting individuals and organizations to support this crucial cause. Hernandez will generously match the next 10 donations made to the Founder’s Circle leading up to the fundraising event on April 30th, 2026, at the Paramount offices located in the heart of Times Square, New York City. As a result, every contribution will have twice the impact.

Current donors include esteemed partners such as Amerant Bank, Summit Financial Group, BECU, Cete Ventures, Teachers Federal CU, and Virtual Guardian, among others, all of whom are committed to broadening educational opportunities for students. To date, FABF has awarded over $300,000 in scholarships and enrolled more than 300 students in its programs, thanks to the generous support of the community and mission partners.

“I’m so proud of the work the foundation does to break down the barriers that prevent children from accessing a quality education and basic healthcare, among our many programs,” said Greg Rokos, A For A Bright Future Foundation Board Member and Committee Chair. “Louis’s leadership and commitment to philanthropy inspire us all to take action.”

As part of its ongoing efforts, FABF will host the exclusive April 30th fundraising event “Spotlight on Giving.” This glamorous Hollywood Premiere Night will feature a red-carpet welcome, film-inspired décor, curated art exhibitions, live entertainment, raffles, and both silent and live auctions. Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while networking with leaders dedicated to creating brighter futures through education.

The event will also recognize the contributions of the Founder’s Circle and provide an opportunity for potential donors to join this impactful movement. Premier sponsorship packages are available, offering VIP access, prominent brand exposure, and exclusive on-site visibility.

The evening will feature an update on the impact that our programs have on children in key cities in the US, and hear directly from children who have benefited from our programs.
