Panorama Education, a K-12 education technology company that helps students achieve success in school and beyond, announced that it has been selected by the State of Utah as the statewide vendor for student intervention early warning system software, supporting Local Education Agencies (LEAs) in meeting the requirements of Utah Code Section 53F-4-207 (House Bill 84 – School Safety Amendments passed in the 2024 Utah Legislative Session).
As part of this legislation, all LEAs are required to have an early warning system in place for each school to proactively identify students who may need additional academic, behavioral, or safety-related supports. Research shows that schools with effective early warning systems can improve attendance, increase course completion, and promote on-time graduation.
“Utah has been a leader in prioritizing innovation and proactive student support, and we’re honored to help Utah schools turn early insights into meaningful action for students,” said Seth Johnson, Chief Client Officer at Panorama Education.
Through Panorama Student Success, an evidence-based multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) platform, schools get a powerful early warning system that brings together key indicators—attendance, behavior, discipline and school safety incidents, and course performance—into a single, actionable view. Educators can see early warning indicators alongside student assessment results, monitor response to intervention using multiple measures, and access evidence-based intervention suggestions designed to improve academic outcomes and reduce behavioral concerns.
This partnership reflects Panorama’s strong alignment with the State of Utah mission, including improving graduation rates, reducing chronic absenteeism, strengthening literacy and school safety, and equipping educators with actionable data, while allowing schools flexibility to meet local needs and use resources responsibly.
“Building on the success of a seven-year pilot program, Utah teachers and principals now have a system to identify and intervene at the moment a student begins to struggle. The Utah State Board of Education has contracted with Panorama to provide this early warning system, helping educators spot red flags sooner and connect students with the targeted support they need to succeed,” said Aaron Brough, Director of Data and Statistics at Utah State Board of Education.
