The Standard Promotes Nathan McKinstry in Employee Benefits

Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) announced today that Nathan McKinstry has been promoted to senior vice president of Employee Voluntary Benefits in IT.

In this new role, McKinstry will continue leading the operations, transformation, separation and migration of The Standard’s acquired business, American Heritage Life. His expanded responsibilities reflect the significant scope of leadership he has assumed in guiding complex integration efforts while ensuring business continuity and positioning the organization for long-term success.

McKinstry has worked at The Standard for nearly 20 years. During his career, he has led operations for architecture, application development and technology. Most recently, he was vice president of Employee Voluntary Benefits in IT.

“Nathan’s leadership has been instrumental during a period of significant growth and transformation,” said Greg Chandler, executive vice president of Information Technology at The Standard. “His deep technical expertise, strategic mindset and strong partnerships across the organization continue to drive positive results for our business.”

McKinstry earned a bachelor’s degree in information systems from the University of Washington and is a certified IBM consultant.
