Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects, is pleased to announce the appointment of Garrett Hummel, PE, DBIA, as Vice President, Alternative Delivery Program Lead. As Wilson & Company continues to grow, expanding its presence in alternative delivery represents a significant strategic opportunity. In this role, Hummel is responsible for developing and overseeing the processes, governance, and risk analysis framework required to identify, evaluate, pursue, resource, and successfully deliver projects through the alternative delivery program. His focus will include driving sustainable growth, strengthening, and expanding relationships with strategic partnerships and clients nationally.

“Garrett has been instrumental in advancing our alternative delivery efforts, particularly through his leadership on complex design-build projects,” said Daniel Aguirre, PE, Senior Vice President at Wilson & Company. “His technical expertise, collaborative approach, and commitment to building strong client relationships position him to elevate our program and drive continued strategic growth. Under Garrett’s leadership, we will strengthen our one-company approach, expand opportunities for our teams, and further solidify our position as a leader in the infrastructure industry.”

Hummel has more than 15 years of experience delivering rural and urban infrastructure projects across the Midwest, with deep expertise in alternative delivery, including design-build, CMGC, and progressive design-build. His comprehensive understanding of the project development process enables him to proactively manage schedules, mitigate risk, and avoid unnecessary delays. Hummel leads integrated design teams that collaborate closely with clients and contractors to deliver innovative, goal-driven solutions. His portfolio includes nationally recognized, award-winning design-build programs, including the I-435 South Loop Link, honored with the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) Mid-America’s 2020 Design-Build Project of the Year and American Council of Engineering Companies Missouri’s Grand Conceptor Award, and the Fixing Access to Rural Missouri Bridge Program, recipient of DBIA National’s Best in Small Projects award. Together, these projects exemplify the impact of alternative delivery driven by innovation, partnership, and shared ownership.
