Board members will help support new strategic goals in the new year
This year, 1EdTech® Consortium (1EdTech) is renewing its commitment to innovative collaborations within and outside its organization, beginning with the announcement of three new board members.
“The power of 1EdTech comes from our membership’s willingness to work together, across industries, educational sectors and even with their competitors, to find technical solutions to educational challenges,” said Curtiss Barnes, 1EdTech CEO. “It all starts with our board of directors, and our newly elected members have shown throughout the years how effective those collaborations can be, not just in serving their own learners, but learners across the globe.”
1EdTech members elected Dr. Daryl Diamond, Director of Planning, Implementation, Transition, Adoption and Continuous Improvement for Broward County Public Schools; and Warren Goetzel, Director of Academic Technology and Engagement for Georgia Institute of Technology, to serve alongside the returning board members.
Christien Bok, Innovation Manager for SURF, was appointed by the board to serve as an international voice in the 1EdTech leadership. LaTanya McDade, Superintendent of Prince William County Public Schools, was also reappointed to the board.
Chris Davis, Vice President of Academic Services and Quality for the University of Maryland Global Campus, was named the new board chair.
“Having served on the board for several years, I am honored to be named the new chair, and look forward to working alongside this incredible group of people to expand the collaborative efforts of 1EdTech to improve the quality, security and availability of EdTech solutions for learners across the globe,” said Davis.
